Here are two old sketches that show how the Right & Left hand small prop pitch motors need to be wired. The pins on the motor are marked P, Q, R, & S.

The "P" terminal is always the common, "R" & "S" terminals are always the CW and CCW leads, but they are reversed between the Right & Left hand motors.

The pin markings are often unreadable or nonexistent on many motors. Some motors are marked Right or Left hand, some are not.
It is easy to figure out which type you have by measuring the resistance between the pins.

For Left Hand motors, pins Q-S will show a no resistance. Pins P-R will have a small resistance.

For Right Hand motors, pins Q-R will show a no resistance. Pins P-S will have a small resistance.
